Free Eye Exams and Glasses Available for Citizens Affected by the Sevier County Wildfires

The Sevier County Lions Club, in conjunction with Mtn. Hope Good Sheperd Clinic and the Smoky Mountains Lions Charities will be offering free eye exams and free eyeglasses to Sevier County residents who were affected by the wildfires in November of 2016.

The charity’s mobile vision lab will be set up on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Gatlinburg on East Parkway from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Fully-trained eye care professionals will conduct eye exams, will draw up new prescriptions, and will conduct thorough tests including those for glaucoma.  Eyeglasses, based on new prescriptions, will be delivered approximately two weeks later at times to be determined with patients.

The expected time for patients to undergo testing and to choose frames will be approximately one hour.

First Baptist Church of Gatlinburg is located at 111 Oglewood Lane in Gatlinburg, TN off of Highway 321.
