A Multi-Agency Resource Center will open on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the former Belz Factory Mall, 2655 Teaster Lane, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863. The center will be open Monday –Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. This facility will have many of the agencies under one roof that can provide needed assistance to the victims who have lost their homes, who were displaced by the fire or businesses who need help.
The following State Departments and agencies will be present: THDA, HUD, Human Services, Children’s Services, Tennessee Labor and Workforce Development, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Tennessee Veterans Affairs, Tennessee Financial Institute, Tennessee Economic and Community Development, Tennessee Commerce and Insurance, Tennessee Health & Vital Affairs.
In addition, the Sevier County Senior Center, Douglas Cherokee, Volunteer East Tennessee, the American Red Cross, Legal Aid of Tennessee, Safe Harbor and Safe Space will be present.
The Sevier County Economic Development Council will also be located at the facility with a list of job openings currently available in the Sevier County area.
“This is an excellent opportunity to come to one place and find out what services are available to assist the victims of the fire in their recovery,” stated Emily Whaley, Assistant Director of the Sevier County Economic Development Council.
