Infant - Child Assistance

Sevier County Heath Department – WIC Program provides vouchers for supplemental foods for pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children to age 5 years.  For more information, call the Sevier County Health Department (865) 453-1032.

Sevier County Schools Nutrition Program – Sevier County Schools will provide breakfast and lunch at no cost to any child 18 years and younger during school closure.  The meals will be a ‘grab and go” breakfast and lunch and may be picked up at the school the child attends. Cafeteria staff will provide drive through service at each school between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday & Friday . . . School Buses are taking lunches to various locations.  For information, contact your child’s School Principal or go to school system website,

Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains will provide lunch and sack to any child in the community ages 2-18 at no cost. The service will be a Grab-and-Go service located at the entrance of each Club site during the hours of 2:00 pm-4:00 pm Monday-Friday. The child will need to be present to receive the lunch and snack bags. Each food bag will contain non-perishable food items. The Nutrition program is open to all youth in the community ages 2-18, the child does not have to be a member of a Club to receive the meals. Senior Meals

The Sevier County Office on Aging offers mobile meals to homebound seniors over 60 years of age.   The cost is on a sliding scale based on the individual’s income.  Very low-income seniors may receive their meals at no charge.  This also is an option for those on waiting list for Meals on Wheels program.  For information contact Vicky Payne (865) 453-8080 x105.

Douglas-Cherokee Meals on Wheels provides hot, home delivered meals to homebound senior’s age 60+. Eligibility is primarily for low income and disabled seniors. *Congregate sites are closed. Home meals – 5 cold meals delivered once per week.
