Infant - Child Assistance

Sevier County Heath Department – WIC Program provides vouchers for supplemental foods for pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children to age 5 years.  For more information, call the Sevier County Health Department (865) 453-1032. *Lobby closed – please call for assistance. 

Sevier County Schools Nutrition Program – One-day distribution of a full week of meals for breakfast and lunch. Pick up times for meals will be between 11:00AM – 2:00PM at school sites. Buses are taking bag meals to some high population areas. For more information and bus locations, visit Wednesday’s Grab and Go bags will contain a week’s worth of meals for breakfast and lunch for each student. Be aware that some items are perishable and will need to be refrigerated. Young children may also need help with carrying heavy bags of food.

Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains will provide lunch and snack to any child in the community ages 2-18 at no cost. The service will be a Grab-and-Go service located at the entrance of each Club site during the hours of 2:00 pm-4:00 pm Monday-Friday. The child will need to be present to receive the lunch and snack bags. Each food bag will contain non-perishable food items. The Nutrition program is open to all youth in the community ages 2-18, the child does not have to be a member of a Club to receive the meals. Senior Meals

The Sevier County Office on Aging offers mobile meals to homebound seniors over 60 years of age.   The cost is on a sliding scale based on the individual’s income.  Very low-income seniors may receive their meals at no charge.  This also is an option for those on waiting list for Meals on Wheels program.  For information contact Vicky Payne (865) 453-8080 x105.

Douglas-Cherokee Meals on Wheels provides hot, home delivered meals to homebound senior’s age 60+. Eligibility is primarily for low income and disabled seniors. *Congregate sites are closed. Home meals – 5 cold meals delivered once per week.
